Chrisinti’s “Oh
Sheila” Climbs To #2 On
The South Florida Reggae
Singles Chart

- The first hit single and video, “Oh
Sheila,” from the soulful Kingston based singer and cultural
messenger, Chrisinti, is currently enjoying chart success in Jamaica and
the US and has climbed to #2 on the
X-News South Florida Top 30
Singles Chart. The singer’s
highly anticipated sophomore CD,
AGAIN, (and
first on Eight 76 Records)
released on June 28th, also currently sits at #8 and moving up
the
X-News South Florida Top 10
Album Chart. “Oh Sheila,”
produced by Janice “Lady G” Fyffe has also debuted this week at #25 on the
X-News New York Top 30 Singles
Chart.
“Oh Sheila” has been doing well
on the Jamaican charts as well and has moved up to #16 on the Jamaican
Weekly Top 30 Singles Chart(presented by Richie B on HOT 102 and published
weekly in X-News). The single also has held various single chart
positions on the B Mobile/Mega Jamz Top 20 Reggae Singles Chart over the
last two months.
Chrisinti’s AGAIN
was co-produced by Chrisinti and
Kenroy “Yahbreeze” Archibald,
Eight76’s resident “supa-produca”.
AGAIN is the
follow-up to his successful 2002 debut CD release, Comfort My People
(Kings of Kings/VP Records). Although this is their first full-length
project, Chrisinti was one of the first artists to work with
Eight 76. In
addition to Skasmatic’s “Magic Stuff” and Retrorespeck’s
“Searched For Love”, the popular song “Set Me Free” (from
Comfort My People) was
also written and produced by YahBreeze.
Chrisinti is currently doing
interviews and personal appearances in Jamaica and the United States to
support the release of the album and will travel to Lansing, Michigan on
August 27th to headline the 11th Annual Caribbean
Festival with labelmate and “first lady” of
Eight 76 Records,
Evette.
